Woodland works wonders

Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!  We are excited to have students back in the building filling the classrooms and hallways with their smiles, energy and enthusiasm for learning.  Woodland School is proud to be the home of the Wildcats! Our teachers and staff are dedicated, caring professionals, devoted to working collaboratively to inspire and support each student as they grow academically, socially and emotionally in a safe, creative and inclusive environment.

Our standards based curriculum exposes our students to rich, hands-on learning experiences and discoveries.  We have created a learning environment that is safe, nurturing, and accepting of each student’s uniqueness. Our school is very proud of our beautiful outdoor learning space as well as our sensory spaces that are designed to help reach and support the diverse learners that walk through our doors every day.  Our character education and social-emotional learning programs fosters a positive approach embedded in the Woodland School culture. Starting this year, students can be nominated to receive a Wildcat Paw when they display Respectful, Outstanding, Accepting and Responsible actions: ROAR. We look forward to celebrating academic and citizenship accomplishments each month during our Spirit Day awards assembly.

A strong partnership and open line of communication between home and school is paramount as we work together to support our children.  Woodland is proud of our dedicated and supportive Home and School Association. We look forward to further  strengthening our partnership to continue to create meaningful and enriching learning opportunities and events for our students.
